Dowsing
is the art of finding things water, lost items,
people,
etc. It is fun to try and 80% of the population
can learn to
do it!
You can use a forked branch, metal rods, or a pendulum.
(I
don't think most people are aware of the pendulum
method.)
It
would probably be popular with the psychic crowd as
they use a similar method
in answering questions.
Note: when using any dowsing device you must
ask where
the object you are looking for is while using the
device.
Picture the object in your mind and concentrate on it.
This
draws out your intuitive power.
To
make rods bend a coat-hanger or welding rod as shown
in the
picture. Add wooden beads on the handle so it can
rotate
easily. Use a tight fitting bead on the bottom or
glue
it. Hold the rods loosely in each hand so they can
rotate
easily.
Keep
them parallel to the ground and each other.
Hold them in front of you about
shoulder width apart as
you walk slowly. If they cross as
you move over an area
you may have found what you are
seeking. Move through
the area several times to make sure it
is really working.
. .
Pendulum dowsing can be done with a pendulum, ring, or even a
hex
nut. Tie a six inch string or chain to the
weight. Hold the string
between the thumb and forefinger of
your master hand two to four
inches above the suspended
weight.
Position above the right knee and begin to move
slowly. The weight
will find its own pattern of
movement. Whatever the pattern this will
signal
"yes". Stop and position the hand above the left
knee. Do the
same thing. Whatever the
pattern, this will signal "no". Now position
the hand
between both knees and begin searching. You will notice
a
pattern here too. This is the signal for "don't
know".
Pendulum dowsing can be used for long range finding of
objects,
minerals, caves, and people. This is called "map dowsing".
You
hold the pendulum above a map and watch closely for "yes" and
"no"
indicators.
